The Pleasure Saddle Horse Registry was formed to give gaited horse
breeders an opportunity to crossbreed different breeds of gaited
horses. The Registry validates and records the offspring from these
matings with a permanent record and quality registration papers.
The PSHR fills an important gap in gaited registries in that it is a
grass roots organization which still allows a horse to be registered
through inspection of gait, even if it has no registered parents.
Why is this important? Because in the gaited horse world all
the horses are related in one way or another, no matter what the breed.
Many wonderful quality gaited horses have for
whatever reason been lost in the shuffle and are not registered with
any gaited breed today. The PSHR is proud to add these horses to the
Registry, keeping track of them and their offspring.
